INTRODUCTION:
This cross-appeal borders on Civil Procedure.
FACTS:
The Supreme Court had delivered Judgment in respect of the main appeal No.SC.698/2017 between the same parties in this Cross-Appeal wherein the Court dismissed the main appeal.
ISSUES:
The Court determined this cross-appeal on the sole issue couched as follows:

"Whether the lower Court was right to hold that the 1st Cross Respondent's Grounds of Appeal are grounds of law for which no leave is required for appeal."

DECISION/HELD:
On the whole, the Court found no merit in this cross-appeal and accordingly dismissed same.
